I’m a little carried away by the game here Escape from Tarkov, but it’s still in beta, so there are plenty of bugs. However, so far the most “annoying” is the Battlestate Games launcher bug. “Error reading JObject from JsonReader”… Let’s figure out how to fix it.
The error “Error reading JObject from JsonReader” appears, as a rule, at the stage of launching the Battlestate Games launcher and does not allow it to load.
The classic solution to the problem is a simple reinstallation of the launcher (with the obligatory manual removal of the BsgLauncher root folder in the game folder). Usually after that, the error is more corrected and you can play normally.
However, you may need to do a few more steps:
- Launch the Battlestate Games launcher as a system administrator. By default, the folder of the Battlestate Games launcher is located at C: Users[ИмяПользователя] AppData Roaming Battlestate Games BsgLauncher… Find in it BsgLauncher.exe and in the context menu, click “Run as administrator”… After that, we try to launch the launcher.
- If it did not work, then in the same folder find the file Settings and open it in a text editor. Find the line in it “GameRootDir”: null and instead of null, write the address of the game folder in the system (for example, like this: “GameRootDir”: “C: Games BsgLauncher EFT”). Save the file and restart the launcher.
All this should help and the error will no longer appear. In addition, many recommend completely demolishing the game and the launcher, and then cleaning the system with some kind of cleaner, but I don’t think that will help. Better try to install the latest video card, .NET Framework and Windows updates.
